7 Things God does not know.

7 Things God does not know.

Reading: Romans 8:28-31.

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

One of the attributes or characteristics of God is “He is all knowing” (omniscience). God knows everything, every word spoken, every thought, and every action we have ever done! Today though, I want to make a play on words, I could title this message, “Some things God does not know.” You will soon know what I mean.

1ST POINT: God does not know. A sinner He does not love.
John 3:16
“God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever (YOU AND ME, place in your NAME) believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Notice the word “believe.” That is, IF we trust Him as the One who bore the penalty for our sins. This is a personal thing. We must each believe that He died in our place and in our stead. YOU must believe that He died for you.

Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

2ND POINT: God does not know. A sin that He does not hate.

1. He hated Adam’s sin (had to kick him out of the garden!) Someone said Adam told his children “Your mother has eaten us out of house and home!
2. He hated David’s sin (though David had a heart like God’s own heart!)

3. And He hates yours and my sin!

3RD POINT: God does not know. Any other way of salvation except by the Cross.

Acts 4:12 “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

1. It had to be the right Person – JESUS, the Son of God!
2. It had to be the right Death – The CROSS, by the shedding of blood!

The just for the unjust, the innocent for the guilty, the sinless for the sinner. He was the “Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world”

4TH POINT: God does not know. Any better time to be saved than today.
2 Corinthians 6:2 “For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”

A great many people say, “Well, I will accept Christ one day” They want to postpone it; they want to wait for a better time. Now I do not know who you are or where you are right now, but if you are not saved, “now is the accepted time.” Look at your watch or the clock. Whatever time it is right NOW!! Is the time for you! Somebody will ask, “Can I accept Him tomorrow?” No! You have no promise of a tomorrow. The important thing is that God says the time is right now.

5TH POINT: God does not know. A life He cannot change.

2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

Here we have a tremendous statement. “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation.” We hear this verse often in a testimony. People will quote this verse and tell about their conversion. They say they no longer indulge in certain bad habits that they had before their conversion, and they consider this change in their habits to be a fulfillment of this verse.

6th POINT: God does not know. A habit He cannot break.

1 John 4:4 “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”

This short letter of John has the verb “to overcome” six times, which is more than any other New Testament book other than Revelation (there it is written seventeen times). It carries the note of victory! Victory over sin! Victory over habits! Victory over the devil! It is a continuing victory. It comes about because the One who is in You is greater than the one who is in the world.

7TH POINT: God does not know. A being He did not create.

Colossians 1:16 “For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.”

If you were to go out tonight and look up at the heavens, you would see a number of stars. Have you ever wondered why each star is in its own special position? Why is that star in that part of the heavens? It is in that part of the heavens because that is where Jesus wanted it.

And God created YOU, and placed You here in this building tonight. That YOU may hear what He has to say to YOU! For God has a place for you in His Kingdom.

CONCLUSION:

Why does God care about me? Why does God care about YOU? Read 1 Corinthians 1:27 “But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty.”

We may be seated here tonight, but ONE DAY; the redeemed will be seated in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus!
